Vermont-Raised 100% Grass-Fed Certified Organic Galloway Beef & Vegetable CSA

Located in Highgate,Vermont, this family-owned 300-acre certified organic farm is home to Eric and Hannah Noël’s Galloway beef herd and vegetable CSA. Committed to farming with integrity to improve the land and Vermonters’ quality of life, the Noëls practice exceptional herd health and pasture management.

A heritage breed originally from Scotland, Galloway is said to be one of the most tender and flavorful beef breeds. Galloways are said to “fatten from the inside out” resulting in leaner, well-marbled carcasses with large rib eyes. Free of antibiotics, hormones or additives, Maplewood Organic’s freezer beef packages are available in a variety of bulk sizes, and can be pre-ordered online or purchased by the cut at the South Burlington Farmers’ Market.

In addition, Maplewood Organics offers both summer and winter CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) certified organic shares, sells free-range chickens, pasture-raised eggs, and their own salsa and lacto-fermented sauerkraut. Eric, a former racecar mechanic, known as “the Organic Mechanic”,
operates an auto repair shop on the farm.
